Ride quiet backroads through spectacular landscapes, experience diverse cultures, and enjoy authentic regional cuisine along the way. Carefully planned transfers help you avoid busy traffic and the longest climbs, so you can focus on the most scenic and rewarding sections.
You stay in centrally located, small hotels and charming guesthouses, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle of coastal towns and historic cities.
Day 1 – Arrival in Dubrovnik (Tivat, Podgorica, Mostar) & Transfer to Trebinje

Arrival at Dubrovnik Airport. An optional transfer takes you to Trebinje in Bosnia & Herzegovina — a charming town at the crossroads of East and West.
In the evening, you receive an online tour briefing and bike fitting. Overnight in a centrally located hotel in Trebinje.
Day 2 – Trebinje to Herceg Novi

Your journey begins right outside your hotel. Cycle through peaceful villages in the Trebišnjica Valley before heading toward the Montenegrin border.
From there, enjoy a gentle descent toward Herceg Novi, where your first views of the stunning Bay of Kotor unfold. After checking into your hotel, explore the old town or take your first refreshing swim in the Adriatic Sea.
Day 3 – Highlights of the Bay of Kotor

Today you explore the jewels of the Bay of Kotor.
Follow a former railway line toward Zelenika before continuing along the coastline to Risan and elegant Perast, often called the pearl of the bay. Visit its picturesque old town and the famous island churches offshore.
Continue along the coast to Kotor, where your shuttle transfer awaits. The drive follows the beautiful Adriatic coastline past Budva and Sveti Stefan before reaching your accommodation overlooking the medieval town of Stari Bar.
Day 4 – Along the Adriatic to Shkodra, Albania

46 km | +300 m / -410 m
Cycle above the Adriatic through ancient olive groves, some home to trees more than 2,000 years old. Ride along scenic secondary roads around Bar — Montenegro’s olive oil capital — and enjoy a picnic stop at Lake Sas.
Cross the border into Albania and continue toward Shkodra, a lively city known for its strong cycling culture. Overnight in a centrally located hotel.
Day 5 – Wine & Village Life Loop
32–89 km | up to +300 m
Today offers flexible options.
Cycle along the Drin River and experience authentic Albanian village life. Enjoy lunch at the renowned slow-food restaurant Mrizi i Zanave.
Choose your preferred distance:
- Return via the same route (64 km)
- Optional shuttle transfer back to Shkodra
- Or extend the ride with additional flat kilometers through rural Albania (up to 89 km total)
Overnight in Shkodra.
Day 6 – Lake Skadar National Park Monastery Route
40 km | +600 m / -1100 m
A morning shuttle transfer helps you bypass the first major climb before today’s spectacular stage begins.
Ride high above Lake Skadar through vineyards, quiet villages and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the lake and the dramatic Albanian Alps. Pass through chestnut forests near Ostros and continue along the lake’s edge, spotting Montenegro’s historic island prison.
In Virpazar, you may join an optional boat tour on Lake Skadar with time for a swim before your evening transfer to Lovćen National Park.
Day 7 – Lovćen National Park to Kotor
42 km | +440 m / -1700 m
From the mountains to the sea.
Start in Lovćen National Park and follow the legendary Austro-Hungarian serpentine road down toward Kotor. The panoramic descent offers some of the most breathtaking views in the Balkans.
For an extra challenge, climb to the mausoleum of Petar Petrović Njegoš, Montenegro’s most important historical figure, where sweeping views stretch across much of the country.
After more than 30 km of descending switchbacks, you arrive directly in front of the medieval walls of Kotor’s Old Town — the perfect finale to your three-country adventure.
Overnight in Kotor.
Day 8 – Departure or Extension
After breakfast, your tour concludes.
Optional transfers to Dubrovnik, Tivat or Podgorica airports are available, or you may extend your stay and continue exploring the Adriatic coast.
